You know, sometimes you really don’t know who you are dating and what motivates them. But you can check them out if you want for free. It’s not hard to Google someone or whatever and see what they have been up to. Most of the time, it’s nothing, but it’s that once in a thousand change that there is. @Afrian_Queen:Guys can be hoes too. I’m a guy and have to worry about female hoes … so I wrote about that. But as the “double standard” goes … a guy being a hoe just isn’t as serious.

People can change … but if a person understands that people can change, then they can handle hearing the past, because they know you can change.

@lrb825: I am all for a second chance. I don’t think the past completely dictates the future … but it is something that I should know. How can I give you a second chance if i don’t know what happened the first time around.

You have a valid point, but I do believe people can and will change their lives. I believe that everyone deserves a second and third chance in life. If the person you are dealing with displays hoe properties, then you can make a decision whether or not to deal with them. But if a person has had a promiscuous past, and have changed their lives, you need to base your decision on the present. Honestly, I am not trying to convince you to change your mind about how you view women with not so desirable pasts, all I’m trying to accomplish here is a different view of things…

I think people should stop judging people on what they do or did in the past. That’s why it’s in the past. That’s probably why it’s so difficult for black people to have successful relationships. They are too busy finding reasons why it won’t work. In my opinion, I think it’s no one’s business what people have done, (unless it’s positive) but more importantly, what they are doing now.
